Worcester County Public Schools and Sheriff’s Office sign new agreement

 

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office and Board of Education have come to a fresh agreement.

This memorandum of understanding continues to puts resource officers in the schools.

They’ll serve as mentors for the students and protect the school community.

Sheriff Matt Crisafulli tells WMDT that the relationship between his office and the school district has improved over the last few years.

“This is a formalized agreement, we look at this every year. It will strengthen our partnership as human beings, as I say, we can always do better. This really formalizes our agreement to provide a safe and conducive environment for the students.”
