Volunteers needed for 78th annual Hard Crab Derby
CRISFIELD, Md. – The national Hard Crab Derby is back for its 78th year!
Crisfield is the crab capital of the world, so it’s fitting that the city is hosting the derby from August 29th-31st.
People from all over gather to watch the crustaceans race, and it wouldn’t be possible without the volunteers who help hand out tickets and answer questions before the crabs get racing.
Heather Ross with the Crisfield Area Chamber of Commerce said they’re in need of more people to fill those important roles.
“We have a lot of people that always help out, and we would just like to have some new people as well. You can get involved, it’s easy, you just sign up at the chamber,” Heather said.
Or you can email the chamber directly at VisitCrisfield@Gmail.com.
