Sister City Tartu Choir serenades

SALISBURY, Md. — Earlier this afternoon in Salisbury Sister Tartu serenaded city leaders.

The Estonian all-male choir group is in town are part of their tour of Maryland, Canada, and New York. It’s in an effort to help grow and support cultural celebration and global friendships. They shared that in organizing the tour they have made great connections with locals and singing with other choir groups.

Member of the group, Jako Aruli said, “I think it’s the opportunity to sing in so many places that the people in the States, they have helped us to to organize them because it’s quite difficult to do it across the ocean. It’s it’s the distance is so far, but so far so good to be to we have had a lot of help.”

The group is also performing at 5:30 tonight at Asbury United Methodist Church and in Frederick on Wednesday night.
