LIVE: The Latest on Leaderboards of 52nd annual White Marlin Open

White Marlin Open

OCEAN CITY, Md. – We’re heading into a fantastic weekend for weather, and that will probably help the White Marlin Open in Ocean City.

The Sunset Marina was packed Friday, as community members enjoyed the tournament on the outside, and competitors enjoyed it on the waters.

Because of the choppy waters, several boats were unable to go out. Thus, Saturday and Sunday will probably be the busiest days for players.

WMDT will update the leaderboards throughout the weekend, but currently:

For White Marlin – Team Billfisher secured a 72 lb. white marlin estimated at $3.9 million.

For Blue Marlin – Team Barbera B hooked in a 929.50 lb. blue marlin estimated at $1.2 million.

For Tuna – Team Sea Hab reeled in a 188 lb. tuna estimated at $764,000

For Wahoo – Shooting Star caught 49.5 lb. wahoo estimated at $74,000

For Dolphin – Team Barbera B drew in a 32.5 lb. dolphin estimated at $19,000.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Ocean City Convention Center on August 11th, Monday.
