Indian River football routs Odessa to open 2025 season
DAGSBORO, Del. – Indian River football beat Odessa 46-5 on Thursday in Dagsboro to start their season 1-0.
Odessa jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter, a score that included a safety taken on an Indian River long snap that sailed over the punter’s head.
After falling behind early, Indian River responded with a short-yardage touchdown run from Davon Handy on a drive set up by a long kickoff return from Handy. The running back also caught the pass on the two-point conversion attempt from quarterback Dylan Grise that made it 8-0.
