Delaware Leadership Honors Victims of Overdose
(DOVER, Del) – And the Delaware Capitol took time to lower the flag Friday morning to raise awareness for overdose deaths.
Governor Matt Meyer’s office held a special ceremony in remembrance of those who’ve lost their lives to overdoses in the last year.
He spoke about what needs to be done about issues like the opioid epidemic and how this issue can reach every single person…
And he also spoke about the more than 300 people who passed away from Overdoses in the last year.
Governor Meyer says, “…I think we all know is 338 too many. But I did want to recognize that there’s a tremendous amount of work being done every single day and progress is being made”
Communities all over Delmarva are showing their support for overdose awareness, wearing purple going into the month of September.
