Annual golf tournament helps raise funds for local schools

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Golfers, get your clubs ready for a good cause.

The Wicomico County Education Foundation is hosting its annual golf tournament, raising funds for students in the district.

This year, the organization is putting a special focus on middle schools, hoping to start baseball and softball programs for students.

“We’re hoping that with the golf tournament being a success and raising those funds, that we can help expand the middle school experience, and provide more sports activities,” said foundation Chair, Michelle Wright.
