An Animal and human slumber party: Salisbury Zoo to host “Bunk with the Beasts” event
SALISBURY, Md. – If you have kids who are curious about animals, the Salisbury Zoo is offering an immersive experience.
On September 12th the zoo is welcoming kids in to bunk with the beasts. They’ll pitch tents, learn from the zoo keepers, and sleep amongst the animals and the stars.
Development supervisor Jamie Nichols said the event will give attendees the chance to learn more about creatures that live at the zoo, and find friends who are fellow animal lovers.
“There’s not many places that let you come and sleep over night in a zoo,” said Nichols. “Usually it’s locked down, and that’s it, and the animals are put to bed. It’s really cool because you get to see the animals that are active over night, that we have in the zoo.”
