Wor-Wic Elects Vice President
Salisbury, Md. — Wor-Wic Community College has elected a new vice president for academic affairs.
First-generation and Wor-Wic graduate Karie Solembrino said she is thrilled to envision the future while working alongside President Dr. Deb Casey and a group of vice presidents.
Solembrino said she is proud to show students at Wor-Wic Community College that it’s possible to move up into leadership roles.
“The impact that we’re going to have on the community will have a ripple effect. And also, other students might say, ‘I can start at Wor-Wic, go into executive leadership, earn credentials in health care, whatever they desire, because truly, I started here,'” she said.
Solembrino also shared that she began her time at Wor-Wic in that very room, creating a full-circle moment.
