UMES signs Memorandum of Understanding with Cameroon’s RHIBMS

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore met with representatives from a school in Cameroon, Africa Tuesday.

UMES met with Redemption Higher Institute of Biomedical and Management Sciences to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

The MoU solidifies a partnership between the two schools, and will focus on areas of collaboration in academics and research.

The partnership also carries with it the potential for student and faculty exchange programs and joint research.

“This particular partnership will expand our global footprint and it allows us to be on multiple continents without really having to build infrastructure because some of this will be virtual and online and the students will be able to do internships together,” said UMES President Heidi Anderson.

Anderson said this partnership is important because it helps make sure students become global citizens.
