Two teens arrested for an armed carjacking in Smyrna
Smyrna, Del. – Delaware State Police (DSP) have arrested two teens for their involvement in an armed carjacking.
According to DSP, they arrested the 14- and 17-year-olds on Thursday.
Around 6 a.m. that morning, they were called to Berry Drive for an armed carjacking.
Officers learned that the victim had given two black males a ride to Holly Hill Estates.
When they arrived at Berry Drive, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the driver while the other held the victim down.
They demanded the car keys and fled the area leaving the victim behind.
DSP saw the stolen car driving through Dover and conducted a traffic stop that led to a foot chase.
They were eventually able to find the gun and take it into custody.
