The Town of Berlin to renovate government building

BERLIN, Md. – The Town of Berlin plans to renovate its government center building following the recent approval and finalization of the next fiscal year’s budget.
Funding has been allocated for updated street signs, new parking meters, and renovations to the Berlin Government Center. The building will likely be gutted and restructured.
Mayor Zach Tyndall called the overhaul much needed, adding that the building holds historical significance.
“This is a piece of Town of Berlin history,” Tyndall said. “It was a fire station, it was a police department, it was a public library, and now it’s the government center for the Town of Berlin.”
A completion date for the renovation has not been confirmed.
