Somerset County Fair will get into full swing Friday

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Somerset County Fair is getting into full swing Friday.

Admission for the fair is free.

Some of the highlights include the Fair Olympics and the Youth Glow Party on the baseball field.

Touch-A-Truck, the Smelly Shoe Contest and shaving wars are also all on deck.

“What sets the Somerset County Fair apart from larger fairs like the Delaware State Fair that’s going on concurrently is the smaller venue, and it’s especially nice for people who have small children and elderly people, they don’t have to walk as far, it’s not on a lot of asphalt and stuff,” said Ronnie Haymaker, President of the Somerset County Fair Board. “We do have an indoor, air-conditioned exhibit hall if you want to get out of the heat, we’ll have a lot of food vendors here and other vendors as well.”

The Somerset County Fair runs through Sunday, July 27th.
