Shorebirds take Game 1 against Fredericksburg

SALISBURY, Md.- Shorebirds beat Fredericksburg 6-0, Tuesday night at Perdue Stadium.

It was WMDT Wag Your Tail Tuesday, where you bring in your dog to the park. 

In the bottom of the first inning Elis Cuevas singles on a sharp line drive, Nate George scores.

Joshua Liranzo hits a grand slam to left center field bringing home Yasmil Bucce, Cuevas and Fernando Peguero. Shorebirds up big at the end of the first inning 5-0.

Bottom of the second inning, Bucce would hit a homer to center left field adding on to their total.

The game was called due to rain in the top of the 9th inning, confirming the Shorebirds’ victory in 8 official innings.

They play Game 2 against Fredericksburg Wed. July 2, 7:05 pm at Perdue Stadium.
