Pet Anxiety during Storms
Wicomico County, Md. — With scattered showers and thunderstorms in the area, it’s important to check in on your pets.
Kimberly Nocks, executive director of the Wicomico County Humane Society, said it’s best to keep pets inside during storms when possible. She also recommended consulting with a veterinarian.
“Talk to your vet. I mean, they do make some really good medications that you can give them when you know a storm is coming,” Nocks said. “I find my dog is very comforted by pillows and blankets when it’s storming. But just snuggle them the best you can and get them through it.”
