Millsboro Man Arrested for 5th DUI and Drugs

MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police arrested 62-year-old Kurt Faulkner, of Millsboro, on Sunday afternoon for fifth offense DUI and multiple other charges following a check on the welfare complaint.

On July 20, 2025, at approximately 4 p.m., troopers responded to the 30000 block of Iron Branch Road in Dagsboro for a report of an unconscious man behind the wheel of a vehicle. Witnesses reported that a Ford Escape was parked on the southbound shoulder with its right turn signal activated, windshield wipers on, and the driver leaning out of the driver’s door.

When troopers arrived, they observed the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Kurt Faulkner. He was sweating profusely, exhibited signs of impairment, and had an open bottle of whiskey inside the vehicle. Emergency medical services responded and transported Faulkner to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

A computer check revealed that Faulkner had four prior DUI-related convictions. During an inventory search of the vehicle, troopers located twenty-six baggies of suspected heroin and drug paraphernalia.

A blood search warrant was obtained for DUI. Faulkner was subsequently taken into custody, charged with the offenses listed below, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $ 8,500 cash bond.
