Madison Street fire on 4th of July

SALISBURY. Md. — Shortly after noon on the 4th of July, a woman at 610 Madison Street suffered burns to her hand as her front porch caught fire.

Estimated losses on the single-family home is $15,000, according to the Salisbury Fire Marshal.

The woman was treated by Salisbury Fire Department EMS, then transported to a burn center by Maryland State Police helicopter, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Fire Marshal has preliminarily ruled the fire accidental, but it is still under investigation.
