Lewes hold off Mid-Sussex in Delaware District 3 Major Little League Baseball Championship

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Lewes held off Mid-Sussex 5-4 in the Delaware District 3 Major Little League Championship game in Georgetown Monday night.

Lewes would start the scoring in the first inning taking a 1-0 lead.

Mid-Sussex responded to even the score at 1-1 in the top of the second inning.

In the bottom of the third, Lewes would score two more runs making their lead 3-1 heading into the fourth inning, then adding on one more in the fifth.

In the top of the sixth, Mid-Sussex would go on to score in the three more runs to tie at 4-4 the game going into the bottom of the sixth inning.

In the bottom of the sixth Lewes answered with a walk-off home run from Lucca Fazio to claim the title of Delaware District 3 Major Little League Champions.
