Joseph Sexauer sworn in as new Ocean City Fire Marshal

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The Town of Ocean City has officially named Joseph “Joe” Sexauer as its new Fire Marshal.

A 22-year veteran of the department, Sexauer began his career in 2003 and rose through the ranks, most recently serving as Battalion Chief.

He’s also a certified Hazardous Devices Technician with the Ocean City Bomb Squad.

Fire Chief Josh Bunting praised Sexauer’s dedication and leadership, calling him the ideal choice to lead the department’s fire prevention and public safety efforts.

Sexauer was sworn in earlier Tuesday.
