Dorchester Health Dept. to Open Cooling Center
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – While we continue to feel the burn from the extreme heat, Dorchester County is working once again to help keep some of the more vulnerable members of the community safe.
The Dorchetser County Health Department’s Public Information Officer, John Griep says they’ll have at least one cooling facility open this weekend.
With the potential for more extreme heat during the middle of next week, those centers could continue to remain open.
“I’d say it’s it’s nice that we do have at least one facility that’s available in Cambridge where many of our residents live on the weekend,” says Griep.
That Cooling Center is the Cambridge Library open from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. on Saturday.
