Dorchester Co. Health Department Offers Overdose Resource Kits
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – The Dorchester County Health Department is lending a hand to those who are struggling with opioid addiction.
The Behavioral Health Division has placed overdose resource boxes around the county, ranging from Cambridge to Hurlock and East New Market.
The boxes contain narcan as well as other supplies, including a first aid kit as well as toiletries.
Community Health Nurse, Melanie Sheehan says it’s important to keep these resources are readily available.
“Not only do individuals who use drugs use it. Families and family members can also go and get it. So it’s just it’s a good idea for it to be readily available to them,” says Melanie.
