DNREC Holds 1st Photo Contest at Del. State Fair

(HARRINGTON, Del) – The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) gave people the chance to show off the natural beauty of the First State.

DNREC announced the winners of their inaugural photo contest.

The contest was meant for people of all ages to try and capture the spirit of nature in Delaware, from Landscapes and Waterways to wildlife and aquatic life.

DNREC Secretary, Greg Patterson says highlighting that natural beauty individually is only part of the contest.

Patterson, “Photos are a great way to show people some of the areas that they might not get to, on their own. And we love not only when people get out there and experience, what we’ve got here in Delaware as far as natural resources, but also share it with others.”

According to DNREC, more than 500 people submitted photos for the contest.
