DELMARVA – For those who like year-round birding, you’re in luck. Delmarva’s Birding Weekends are here! Here on the Peninsula, The Delmarva Birding Weekend dates back to 1995, making this the 30thth anniversary.

Broad Creek Excursion

Laurel, Del. – This annual event features various birding activities and is a significant part of the birding culture in the region. Broad Creek flows into the Nanticoke River, one of the most wild and scenic rivers on Delmarva- dating back to the First People of the Chesapeake region, the Nanticokes. On this tour, participants have the opportunity to learn about Captain John Smith, Harriet Tubman, Patty Cannon and the shipbuilding industry of nearby Bethel, DE, that produced world-famous sailing rams.
