Delaware State Fair, Food Lion tackle hunger on Hunger Relief Day

HARRINGTON, Del. – The Delaware State Fair is all about community and Monday, organizers turned their focus to feeding the hungry.

As part of Hunger Relief Day, five canned goods or non-perishables were good for free admission.

Food Lion is a big part of the effort and all the food donated goes back to the Food Bank of Delaware.

“We partner very well with Food Bank of Delaware, we try to support their efforts in the community in any ways that we can and Hunger Relief Day at the Delaware State Fair is one of the biggest ways we are able to do that throughout the course of the year,” said Bob Mills, Community Relations and Marketing Specialist for Food Lion.

This is the 14th year Food Lion has served at the Delaware State Fair.
