Salisbury Community Band Hits Bandstand in Salisbury City Park

Arts, Music, and Community Gatherings Mark Salisbury’s First City Minute

SALISBURY, Md. — For its inaugural launch, City of Salisbury Communications Director Victoria Idoni introduced herself with three free events.
Wicomico County Parks and Recreation hosted one of its Summerfest events, of which the city assists, at Doverdale Playground. The theme was “Arts,” as Victoria invited everyone to spend the evening with cool, unique, themed experience. The free event focuses on kids, offering games, music, food and lots of activities.
On Sunday, the Salisbury Community Band brings talented community members for music in Salisbury City Park, starting at 7 pm. It was the last event scheduled for the city’s Summer Concert Series. This band’s origins date back to 1937.
Victoria reminded people to return next week for details about this year’s National Night Out at Salisbury City Park on Aug. 5.
And remember, it’s free to park downtown after 4 pm on weekdays and free all weekend long. The Salisbury Zoo is also always free with free parking.
