Chesapeake Bay Bridge overnight closures scheduled this week.

DELMARVA – Heads up for drivers crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge — full overnight closures are scheduled this week.

The westbound span will close from midnight Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, with two-way traffic running on the eastbound span.

Then, the eastbound span shuts down nightly Monday through Wednesday, and again from late Thursday through the weekend, weather permitting.

Daytime eastbound lane closures may also occur Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Officials say Stay alert, follow all signs, and remember — headlights are required at all times on the bridge.
