Berlin forces deciding game in Maryland Majors Little League Championship
SALISBURY, Md.- Berlin forced one more deciding game for Maryland Little League Majors Championship, beating Montgomery 8-4, Thursday afternoon in Salisbury.
Berlin would make a statement early, with Benny Maldonado hitting a home run in the first inning that scored Jackson Booher.
In the bottom of the second inning Berlin would score two more runs, heading into the third inning up 4-0.
In the fourth inning Berlin would extend their lead, scoring four more runs to make the deficit 8-0.
Montgomery would find their stride in the fifth inning, scoring four runs, but it wasn’t enough as Berlin played tight defense with a stellar performance from pitcher Jackson Booher.
Berlin will play against Montgomery in the final game in the Maryland Majors Little League Baseball Tournament Friday July 25, 6pm at West Salisbury Little League Field.
