Wor-Wic Community College opens cyber range training program

Cyber Range 1275

SALISBURY, Md. – Wor-Wic Community College, in partnership with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce recently cut the ribbon on a new cybersecurity training facility, as part of its participation in the Maryland’s Cyber Workforce Accelerator Program.

The new cybersecurity lab features the BCR Cyber Series 3000 Cyber Range, which we’re told is a high-tech training system that simulates cyberattacks and introduces students to concepts and operations of cybersecurity.

The program was established by the Maryland Association of Community Colleges and BCR Cyber last year and provides cyber ranges to all 16 community colleges in Maryland. Wor-Wic now has access to the cyber range on-site using dedicated remote workstations that can be used for cybersecurity curriculum development and course inclusion.

Once students complete their students, the program helps place these students into industry jobs.
