Woodland Ferry closure

SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. – The Woodland Ferry in Sussex County will be closed next week on Monday and Tuesday.

For many locals, the ferry helps them avoid the longer trip going all the way around the river. This closure can be a burden for those who are hoping to save some travel time. Local ferry rider Glenn is one of them.

“So that means adding an hour and a half to my travel time, which would have been a total of maybe a maybe half hour, 15 minutes, one way, 15 minutes back.” he said.

The ferry is expected to reopen on Wednesday.
