Wicomico Co. Civic Center opens as cooling center

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Health Department has announced the opening of a cooling center at the Wicomico County Civic Center.

The Flanders Room (5, 6, and 7) will be open Monday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., and Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Residents will need to bring their own food, medication, and beverages. Pets are not allowed.

Additionally, the MAC Inc., Senior Center will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday for residents ages 55 and over.
