Salisbury offices closed for Juneteenth, road closures announced for parade and festival

SALISBURY, Md. – City of Salisbury offices will be closed this Thursday, June 19th, in celebration of Juneteenth.

Additionally, Eastern Shore Juneteenth will be hosting their annual Juneteenth Parade & Festival in Downtown Salisbury this Saturday, June 21st, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The following road closures will be in effect this weekend for the parade:

Saturday, June 21st – 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Division Street from Route 50 to Circle Avenue
  • Main Street from W. Market Street to Court Street
  • Church Street from St. Peter’s Street to Division Street
  • Camden Street (full closure)

Saturday, June 21st – 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • W. Market Street from Circle Avenue to Mill Street

Powell Building and residents can access parking via Circle Avenue to W. Market Street. We’re told a traffic control official will be stationed at the intersection to ensure access is granted for residents during the closure.
