SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been convicted and sentenced on firearm, drug trafficking, and other related offenses.

We’re told the charges against 43-year-old Kevin Duffy stem from a lengthy investigation by the Wicomico Narcotics Unit and the Drug Enforcement Administration, involving the distribution of large amounts of controlled dangerous substances in the county. The investigation spanned several months and resulted in several arrests, according to police. A search warrant was executed at Duffy’s residence, leading to the seizure of a large amount of cocaine and a loaded firearm. Two unattended children were also reportedly found in the home at the time the warrant was executed.

Duffy pleaded guilty on Thursday to one count of firearm/drug trafficking, one count of manufacturing cocaine, one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was subsequently sentenced to 55 years’ incarceration with all but 20 years suspended. Five of these years is a mandatory minimum sentence.
