Rotary Club hosts disc golf tournament fundraiser

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Rotary Club is hosting it’s annual disc golf tournament to raise money for student scholarships on Friday, June 6th.

The tournament will take place from 9 a.m. to noon in Schumaker Park. Local businesses are paying to sponsor this event, not only helping to raise money for the scholarship fund, but also getting a chance to compete in the tournament in a team of four.

Rotary Club member and event organizer Tim Procita, stated that the best part of this event is being able to give back to the community.

“We enjoy seeing local college students have the ability to pursue their degrees, and we also enjoy seeing them come back,” he said.
