Raccoon tests positive for rabies in Quantico area

QUANTICO, Md. – Wicomico County Health Department officials say a raccoon tested positive for rabies in Wicomico County on Wednesday.

We’re told the raccoon was in the area of Pirate’s Wharf on Whitehaven Road in Quantico.

Officials are advising all residents to be aware of their surroundings and to avoid contact with wild or stray animals.
