Police investigating drowning of two toddlers in Caroline Co.

GREENSBORO, Md. – Police say an investigation is underway following a drowning that claimed the lives of two toddlers Sunday evening in Greensboro.

At around 7:30 p.m., Caroline County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 12000 block of Greensboro Road for a reported possible drowning. Deputies found two male pediatric victims, ages 2 and 3, receiving medical treatment from the Caroline County Department of Emergency Services and the Greensboro Fire Department. Both children were taken to Shore Regional Health in Easton for further treatment, where they sadly died as a result of their injuries.

The incident remains under investigation. The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office says it is extending its deepest condolences to the family and all affected by this heartbreaking tragedy.
