Pocomoke City officials host meeting due to 29% increase in gun violence
POCOMOKE CITY, Md. – Pocomoke City officials hosted an emergency meeting to address recent gun violence.
Mayor Todd Nock is holding a meeting about the violence. It has increased 29% in the last year and a half.
The meeting will focus on 3 intrical issues.
- Increasing police presence
- Implementing New Strategies
- Strengthening collaboration with local and regional partners.
Police Chief Arthur Hancock said he wants residents to say something if they see something.
“Really would like our community to get involved and report things they see. We have an anonymous website where they can send an email directly to me, and I won’t know who sent it. Anything like that would be helpful.”
