One dead in Cambridge shooting, investigation continues

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Cambridge Police say the investigation into a fatal shooting Wednesday night continues.

Just after 8:30 p.m., officers were called to the area of the West Side Bypass and Route 343 for a reported shooting, arriving at the scene to find a 45-year-old man lying in the roadway, suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper chest. Life saving measures were administered by the victim, identfied as Steven Dennis, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger car was reportedly seen leaving the area on Route 343.
