Maryland State Parks hosts Junior Ranger program
MARYLAND. – Parents looking for a summer activity for your children this summer, Maryland State Parks have you covered.
The state park service is holding its Junior Rangers Program, where kids will learn archery, crabbing and fishing skills
and will be able to participate in arts and crafts sessions.
State park ranger, Brian Bokulic said the program helps teach children the importance of protecting the natural beauty of the Eastern Shore.
“A lot of kids come here for the very first time, even if they lived in a local area, they’re kind of coming to the park and getting outdoors,” said Bokulic. “It teaches them to respect nature and keep what they have around the shore.”
The program runs from July 16-18. To register, you can email Bokulic at Brian.Bokulic@Maryland.gov.
