Maryland state housing officials announce funding for internet access on the Eastern Shore
MARYLAND – Maryland state housing officials have announced $1.27 million in funding for internet access on the Eastern Shore.
The funds were awarded through the Department of Housing and Community Development’s Home Stretch for Public Housing Program.
The money will help connect 87 currently un-served households in Wicomico and Worcester counties.
Simple Fiber is providing the internet connection at houses in Severn Homes and Homes for America.
The program aims to connect remaining un-served households across Maryland.
