Good Morning Delmarva discusses the 4th annual Juneteenth Celebration
WMDT – Juneteenth, a holiday celebrating the end of slavery, is tomorrow.
If you are looking for a way to commemorate the holiday this weekend, the Sturgis One Room School Museum in Pocomoke has you covered!
For two days, you can enjoy live entertainment, food, and a free tour of the museum.
On June 20th, there will be an open might night for music artists and poets.
On June 21st, there will be door prizes, a bounce house, and a variety of vendors.
We spoke with Kimberly Jones, their board president, who says they started this event as a means to bring the community together.
We’re informed that volunteer opportunities are still available, and if you’re interested in joining their board, you can contact Kim Jones directly at sturgismuseum5@gmail.com.
