Fruitland defeats West Salisbury in Little League Majors Tournament

SALISBURY, Md.- Fruitland won big over West Salisbury 5-1 in the Little League Maryland District 8 Majors Tournament, Monday afternoon in Salisbury.

In the top of the second inning, West Salisbury’s Brayden Wood brought home Mason Dorn to score.

In the bottom of the third, Fruitland’s Caleb Manning got an RBI double plating Whit Render.

Matt Mcfarland hit an RBI double as Manning stole third and headed home.

With Fruitland looking to extend their lead, Gage McPhail notched an RBI single allowing McFarland to score.

McPhail and Cole Horseman both scored thanks to an RBI double from Jace Wilson.

Fruitland’s next game will be against Berlin on Tuesday, July 1st, at 6pm.
