Firearms investigation results in arrest of Dover man

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested Wednesday afternoon following a firearms investigation.

Shortly after 12 p.m., officers contacted a man, identified as 38-year-old Derel Custis, in the area of Fulton Street and North Queen Street regarding a firearms investigation. Custis, who police say is prohibited from possessing firearms, was reportedly found in possession of a .357 revolver concealed in his waistband.

Police arrested and charged Custis with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was held at SCI on a $5,000 cash bail.
