Fire on SU campus deemed accidental

SALISBURY, Md. – Fire marshals say a fire on Salisbury University’s campus Wednesday night was accidental.

The fire was reported just after 9 p.m. at the Guerrieri Student Union. Firefighters were able to quickly control the blaze, which reportedly began in an office inside the Chick-fil-A.

Fire marshals determined the fire was caused by the spontaneous combustion of oily rags. Total damage was estimated at $12,000.
