Emerging Leader: Rebecca Holowka

WMDT –It’s time to introduce you to a new emerging leader!

Rebecca Holowka is the retiring clinical director of the healthy hearing program at the Special Olympics Delaware.

She was recently honored with the Golisano Health Leadership Award, a prestigious award meant to honor those who have helped advance healthcare access for those with disabilities.

Holowka was vital in leading their program at the state level.

She tells us that it was a surprise to be honored but emphasizes that her time with the organization was also a rewarding experience that she benefited from.

Holowka says she has formed relationships with the athletes over the years helping them improve their communication.

She says it’s been an honor to watch the program flourish over time and give athletes the care they need.
