DSP investigating armed robbery in Milton
MILTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a reported armed robbery in Milton.
At around 2 a.m. Saturday, troopers began investigating the incident, with a preliminary investigation revealing that the victim was traveling on Burton Road in the area of Sand Hill Road. An unknown vehicle reportedly flashed red and white lights behind him, leading the victim to pull over, at which time he was allegedly confronted by two masked male suspects wearing vests labeled “ICE”. The victim was removed from his vehicle by a suspect armed with a knife while the other suspect reportedly pointed a firearm at the victim. The suspect with the knife then poked the weapon into the victim’s side and took his wallet before punching him in the face.
Both suspects fled the scene in their car with an unknown amount of money.
The victim was taken to an area hospital for an injury to his face.
The suspects are described as two men, wearing masks and dark colored clothing. Police are warning the public that the suspects are possibly impersonating law enforcement.
