DSP continuing to investigate 2016 death of Clayton man
SMYRNA, Del. – Delaware State Police are continuing to ask for the public’s help in a 2016 death investigation.
On April 27, 2016, 63-year-old James Leager was found in his vehicle on a farm property in the 700 block of Blackbird-Greenspring Road in Smyrna, suffering from serious injuries. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died almost three weeks later.
James was a lifelong resident of the Smyrna-Clayton area and was well known in the community.
Over the past nine years since his death, detectives have continued investigating, examining forensic evidence, and pursuing leads in this case, but there have been no arrests. Investigators are once again asking for the public’s help.
