DOVER, Del. – A restaurant burglary in Dover landed a man behind bars earlier this week.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Monday, troopers responded to Four Seasons Pizza on South State Street in Dover for a reported burglary. It was learned that during the overnight hours, an unknown man forced entry into the business and used a knife to force open cash registers, stole money, and fled.

Further investigation led detectives to identify 25-year-old John Carey as the suspect. He was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with second degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, theft under $1500, and two counts of criminal mischief under $1,000.

Carey was held at SCI on a $7,100 secured bond.
