Delaware officials are pleased with positive growth in Rehoboth and Dewey Beach

Rehoboth Beach Memorial Day Weekend

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Small business owner optimism has hit record lows in Maryland.

According to the National Federation of Independent Business Index, only 18% of owners plan to invest in long-term assets in the next six months.

However, in neighboring Delaware, business official Carol Everhart said the resort town is seeing positive growth.

“Well, our chamber represents 179971 — so that’s Dewey, from the Indian River bridge into Rehoboth, and from the city of Rehoboth out to Midway. In that section, the growth has been phenomenal, whether it has been residential or commercial,” one official said.

More information will be available soon.
