Cooling Centers to open in Somerset Co. this week

SOMERSET CO., Md. – With extreme heat expected to impact the area this week, the Somerset County Health Department has announced two cooling centers for those needing relief.

The Princess Anne Library, located at 11767 Beechwood Street, and the Crisfield Library, located at 100 Collins Street, will both open from 10 a.m. until 6:45 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and 10 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. Thursday.

Residents should take their own food, beverages, and medications to the cooling centers. Pets are not allowed.
