Cambridge PD Discusses Arrest in Sunday Homicide
(CAMBRIDGE, Md) – Following Sunday night’s homicide that left a 23 year-old dead, the Cambridge Police Department has announced an arrest.
The arrest was announced early Wednesday morning, with Cambridge Police identifying 15 year old, Jakai Wilson from Cambridge in that Sunday night homicide.
Officers found Wilson during a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
Wilson faces a long list of charges; including first and second degree murder, possession of a firearm by a minor, and altering evidence in a criminal proceeding, among other crimes.
Cambridge Police Chief spoke about seeing the surveillance video from Sunday and finding the other suspects.
He says it’s disturbing that following the shooting, additional suspects proceeded to disrespect the victim and tampered with the crime scene, breaking into the victim’s car
And while one person tied to the shooting is now in custody, Chief Todd says the investigation is still active at this time and additional arrests will be made.
Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to contact Cambridge Police at 410-228-3333
